DISASTERS HAPPEN SUDDENLY !  The Association has 5 teams of Disaster Relief responders. These include Feeding Team, Childcare, Chain Saw, Cleanup, and Counselors. This is an all volunteer ministry. These teams serve at great personal sacrifice, as do all the volunteers who serve in Associational Ministries.

HELP US ALL HELP THEM . . .

Both the Christian Ministry Center and the Good Samaritan Clinic now have a permanent home.  First Baptist Church and Southside Baptist Church have been very generous in providing space over the years, but building conditions and needs required both ministries to seek a new home.  We prayed God would give us direction and meet this great need.  Our new Southern Baptist Ministry Center building is now occupied by these two ministries.

The Center is located next to Sunset Funeral Home and behind Rice's Valley Baptist Church on Watermelon Road in Northport.  ***For more information or to volunteer your services, call 752-8399 or the Associational Resource Center at 339-2273.

GREAT NEED! 

The economic downturn created a situation where the Association had to borrow nearly $400,000 to finish the center. These payments have put a great financial strain on the Associational budget and has caused all the ministries to be cut in the coming year. We are praying God will provide the needed funds to reduce or pay off this debt so we can restore funds to the many other ministries of the Association. Please join us in that prayer.
