God says we can know Him through several stages. We see Him in His creation, this world and the universe. We also learn of Him through His Words recorded for us in the Bible, God's inspired Words. He then revealed Himself in the person of His own Son Jesus Christ, who was and is God incarnate or in the flesh. The final stage is to know God personally by believing in Jesus Christ and receiving Him into our lives.This is called being born again, being born of the Spirit. This makes you a child of God, and as a member of the family of God you have come to truly know Him.

Here are the facts revealed in God's Word:

   God loves us and has a plan and purpose for our lives.    John 3:16   John 10:10  

   Our sin, including our neglect of God, has separated us from God.   Romans 3:23

   Jesus lived and died as a sacrifice for our sin.   John 3:16-17     Romans 5:8

   To receive God's forgiveness and experience His love and blessing, each of us must personally repent of our sin, believe in Jesus as God's Son, and open our lives to His presence.   Acts 16:30-31     Romans 10:9-10

   You can do this today. If you sense your need for Him, He is listening for your prayer even now. Say this to God:

"God, I know I am a sinful person. I have neglected having a relationship with you. But now I truly believe in your Son Jesus who died and rose from the dead for me.  I ask you to forgive me and come into my life. Thank you for making a way for me to know you through your Son. I will strive to know you better and live for you each day. Amen."
